East Wins the 2007 State Championship!
45 East students participated in the 2007 TFL State Championship on March 2-3 at Pinecrest High School in Southern Pines.  The group dominated the event, claiming first place overall in debate, speech, and the Governor's Cup Championship Trohpy.  Individual State Champions included Vriti Jain in Extemp, Ted Lee in Oral Interp and Original Oratory, and the JV Public Forum team of Dania Toth & Aaron Rogoff.  Congratulations to all team members for your contributions to this milestone win for our program!

New and returning members alike, listen up!  You must turn in your permission form packet before traveling to your first tournament.  Please download the packet here, complete it, and submit it along with team dues and any relevant field trip fees to Jonathan or your event coach at practice.

No matter what other activies you might participate in, there is a way for you to be involved in our team too.  By offering a variety of practice opportunities and schedule flexibility, we hope that you will be able to make speech and debate a part of your life.  Here are our current practice times.  Please note that coaches are willing and able to set up individual appointment times.
